Case Study

Saudi Employment Strategy

The Ministry of Labour formed the “Saudi Employment Strategy” to be a frame of reference for treating issues of labor and employment in the Kingdom according to integrated methodical and scientific principles and a clear vision to achieve the desired objectives. This is to take place over a period of 25 years distributed over three stages: short-term stage, medium-term stage, and long-term stage.

The strategy is based on a vision that aims to provide enough and suitably paid job opportunities,

thereby employing Saudi human resources in full and achieving a competitive advantage for the

national economy. JOATHA was mandated by the Ministry Of Labour to undertake the advisory work of preparing the strategy and reviewing it with stakeholders including the private sector.
