What is Joatha?
You may have wondered by now about what “Joatha” means. “Joatha” refers to the ancient capital of historical Bahrain. “Joatha” is situated within the largest oasis in the globe and within the world’s leading source of oil in Saudi Arabia. Historically, Joatha oasis has always been filled with opportunities; it was blessed with deep natural water springs and date heavy palm trees, while surrounded by deserts.
Joatha embraces one of the oldest mosques in the Islamic history. The mosque is famous for being the second mosque to hold Juma’ah (Friday) prayer after the mosque of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) in Almadinah (North West of Saudi Arabia). The remaining of the mosque still stands.
